Update progress

I realize that there has been no update on the progress of the project for quite some time. Is the project still running? Has any progress been made? Etc. Here is a brief update.

Initially, secure communication between participants was the focus of research and developments. Simply because the daily used de/encryptions of data (which are excellent, by the way) still prove to be inadequate under certain circumstances; during the project it soon became clear that secure communication requires much more than just de/encryption of data.

Conflicts around the world

Russia’s invasion of Ukraine in early 2022 added even more dimensions to the issue of secure and reliable communications, and made normal data de/encryption an even smaller percentage of overall functionality.**

Among other things, this added and changed the requirements for this project quite a bit. Because of the project-based Agile approach, all new issues were implemented relatively easily after the research phase and the ROSE system became more and more of a modular system.

Status at the end of 2023

There are now 10+ security levels and the software has 14, partly optional, modules per satelite. All modules are continuously tested (24/7) with any problems being solved immediately.

2024

A number of complex issues are on the R&D roadmap for 2024. For example, some already working modules will be modified and new ones will be added. Artificial Intellegence will also be carefully used in research and development work.

** Also, the Israeli/Palestinian conflict has resulted in additional requierments once again.
